Story Time With Ninny is a gentle, family-friendly storytelling space created by Cheryl “Ninny” Coleman. Here, children can enjoy original stories, poems, puppies, and imaginative adventures designed to spark creativity, kindness, and curiosity.

Who is Ninny?

Ninny is a storyteller, illustrator, and grandmother who loves creating stories that feel like home. Every book, video, and activity is crafted with care for little listeners everywhere.

What ages is Story Time With Ninny suitable for?

Story time With Ninny is created primarily for children aged 3–8, though younger and older children are very welcome too.

Content & Safety

Is Story Time With Ninny safe for children?

Yes. All content on the website and YouTube channel is family-friendly, calm, and created with young children in mind. There is no advertising directed at children, no scary themes, and no fast-paced overstimulation.

Are the stories original?

Yes. All stories are original creations by Ninny.

Can children appear in Story Time With Ninny videos?

Only with full parental permission. Any special opportunities to appear with Ninny will require signed release forms and clear parental approval.

Books & Activities

Where can we buy Ninny’s books?

I’m currently preparing my original children’s books for release, and they’ll be available right here on the Story Time With Ninny website when they’re ready. As soon as each book is published, I’ll add a link to the shop page and announce it on my social channels.

Are books available in hardcover or paperback?

Not just yet. I’m currently preparing my children’s books for publication, and I’ll share format options as each title becomes available. When the first books are released, you’ll be able to see whether they come in hardcover, paperback, or both — all right here on the Story Time With Ninny website.

Can I download the activity packs?

Yes — a free colouring activity pack is available when you sign up. Simply enter your email to receive your link. Other colouring pages and printables are available on the website.

Puppy Page Turners

What are the Puppy Page Turners?

They are Ninny’s magical little helpers who appear in videos to turn the storybook pages and sit quietly in the corner of each storybook page. Each puppy has a name, a personality, and their own bio page.

Why are some puppies “mystery puppies”?

Some puppies are gradually revealed as part of our storytelling adventures — it’s all part of the fun!

Can we adopt a puppy?

Yes! A special “Adopt-a-Puppy” certificate will be available in the future (but these are pretend adoptions — no real puppies involved!).

YouTube Channel

How often are new videos released?

The goal is to release one original story each month, with a Read-Along-Only version released two weeks later. There will also be additional surprises throughout the year.

Do you read books from other authors?

No. All stories are original to keep the channel safe, simple, and fully independent.

Is the music and imagery on your channel licensed?

Yes. All music, illustrations, and graphics are either original creations or properly licensed for use.

Competitions & Participation

How do competitions work?

Each competition, as announced, comes with its own clear guidelines, parent approval requirements, and submission steps.

Do children need parental permission to take part?

Yes. A parent or legal guardian must submit the entry on the child’s behalf and sign the required release form.

Will my child’s artwork or name appear online?

Only if you give explicit permission during the entry process. Only first names will be used.

Can I unsubscribe at any time?

Yes. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Will my information be shared?

Never. Ninny follows Australian privacy laws and values your trust.

School, Library & Community Requests

Do you visit schools or libraries?

Not just yet — but this is something I would love to offer in the future. As Story Time With Ninny continues to grow, I’m planning to create special school and library visit programs that include storytelling sessions, author talks, and creative activities. Once I’m ready to take bookings, I’ll share the details on my website and social channels so you’ll be among the first to know.

Can I buy books in bulk for a classroom or event?

Bulk purchasing isn’t available right now, but it will be in the future. As I move closer to publishing my full range of original children’s books, I’ll introduce options for classroom sets, library bundles, and event packs at discounted rates.
